During the last few weeks I been trying to think of a way to explain in detail a thought I had to you all. In order for me to help you understand my thoughts; I must first set the stage for your understanding by explaining some views.
View:
A) An individual goes to a place of business because they are in need of being serviced in some way. It doesn't matter what the service is as along as you understand there is a "need for service"
B) Many people have a job where they service one person; their boss. Even though they may be working somewhere like a theatre or police station; they are still servicing just their boss. What the boss wants is what they provide service for.
C) A business services individuals by using a system.
D) The Human Factor: Wither we like to admit it or not; we all work on being politically correct to the people we know least. How we choose to be who we are is always up to us.
Now that you see some of my view points I'll share my thought.
Work is about fending for your self more than servicing others. Yes you might service many people in the process of helping one individual run a system. The end result is that you are getting paid after tax dollars for your time.
Having a business is about having, or building, a system that services many people who have a need for what you are doing. For those who know; yes under certain structures you are double taxed. People more than often forget to mention that you have more control of where the money goes.
I believe the folks at Life is Good have it right. Their slogan is "Do what you love; Love what you do" it's printed on every item they sell.
